Top court delivers justice.

Top court delivers justice.
The apex court finally heard their voice and has understood the suffering of 23 year old woman. The Supreme Court has confirmed the death sentence given to the four convicts in December 16, 2012 gangrape and murder case saying it had sent a shock all over and was "rarest of the rare case" in which the most brutal and diabolic attack was carried out on Nirbhaya.

An eye for an eye,a tooth for a tooth is one of the oldest form of justice which we all today recognise as capital punishment. The severest punishment which can be given to a criminal for indulging in a nefarious crime.

While the nation is satisfied with the judgement in the Nirbhaya case the victim's parents ensure that they will fight for the justice of the other girls against whom criminal acts are committed.

After almost five years the father of the young lady who was raped and died of injuries several days later said that he will sleep peacefully.

The victim's mother who was present in the court room when the verdict was pronounced said justice has finally been done despite of lengthy leagal process.

The judgement was pronounced by a bench including Justice Dipak Misra, R Banumathi and Ashok Bhushan which held Vinay Sharma, Akshay Thakur, Mukesh and Pawan Gupta guilty and awarded them death penalty.

While the capital punishment for the convicts was announced the defence counsel asked for some leniency considering their age and family background.

But the horrific crime committed by these men ensured death penalty and the test of being a "rarest of the rare case" was satisfied.

Even if the punishment warranted to the convicts is inhuman and cruel there is no other alternative but to enforce it. Just as one removes a rotten apple to save the basket full of apples, similarly we must get rid of the unwanted elements so that we can preserve the society.
